IBM Db2 Event Store

IBM Db2 Event Store is an in-memory database built on top of Apache Spark, intended to support both near real-time and deep analytics on historic data.

There have been various attempts to combine the analysis of both (near) real-time and historical data within a single environment and, Db2 Event Store provides a much less complex solution to this issue than other available approaches. More generally, the implementation of Db2 Event Store along with IBM Cloud Pak for Data brings multiple benefits, not least the data virtualisation provided.
