In this session Andrew will be diving into the new world of multi-cloud decentralisation, remote working and fractured networks like never before and discussing how can we claim to be end-to-end secure, when we don't control the connections? What's the recipe and where do we start? -Quantify the problem and how it came about. -What a total SASE solution is and what problem it's trying to solve. -What are the individual components. Where do we start and what does the roadmap look like? With almost 30 years in technology, I have worked in most areas of tech at some point. As a tech leader, I have specialised in luxury hospitality and lifestyle verticals since 2011. Whilst I always consider myself a techie at heart, I love the pressure of these fast-paced industries. "The 1%" have high standards and expectations. This is reflected in the way the tech services the needs of our business too.

After 15 years in IT and telecom industries Gerald joined Western Union as Director Technology Delivery EMEA-APAC and built-up Technology Service Delivery and Technology Presales functions which he later expanded to global level. He then went on to establish a global partner integration practice and finally switched to leading and integrating diverse regional Technology teams into a global engineering organization. Since 2020 Gerald is heading Technology at Western Union International Bank in Vienna and Western Union Payment Services in Ireland focusing on bank and payment transformation and in particular regulatory compliance of Western Unions technology operations in Europe.
