Companies in the UK, EU and US have been outsourcing software development work to countries in Central and Eastern Europe for years. The Russian invasion of Ukraine has severely disrupted access to a major rising hub of software engineering and data science talent.

The IT Ukraine Association insists that the country is open for business and companies looking to cut ties with Russia should consider moving the work to Ukraine. In this open and direct CIO WaterCooler Community Session we will discuss

  • the cybersecurity implications of the war
  • if Eastern Europe is lost as a source for reliable IT outsourcing
  • if there could be benefits to moving work to Ukraine
  • how we can help the Ukrainian tech sector
